Description
Western Municipal Water District is soliciting proposals for Phase 1 of a multi-phase fire protection improvement project involving installation of five fire hydrants at designated locations. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, permits, traffic control, excavation and shoring, utility coordination, hydrant laterals and connections, incidental materials, concrete protection and bollards where required, testing, disinfection, bacteriological sampling support, restoration, cleanup, and closeout documentation. Major hydrant materials will be furnished by the District, while the contractor must receive, inspect, store, protect, and install them and furnish all other incidental materials. The proposal must include a detailed work approach, firm profile and qualifications, project team information, key personnel resumes where applicable, subcontracting information, cost and price proposal, three similar project references completed within the last five years, and the required signature and licensing information. The work requires a California Class A General Engineering Contractor license and compliance with applicable public-works, labor, safety, permitting, and utility-coordination requirements. The solicitation states that proposals are limited to 40 pages and will be evaluated on work plan, qualifications and experience, key personnel, and cost.
