Description
The City of Hickory is soliciting a single-prime contractor for the Miracle of Hickory Park Modification project. The scope includes project management and coordination; site clearing and selective demolition; erosion and sediment control; grading and earthwork; storm drainage; water and sanitary sewer services; concrete and asphalt paving; sidewalks, curbs, gutters, parking improvements, and pavement markings; a prefabricated restroom building; an accessible stage; landscaping and grassing; and a single-post pyramid cantilever shade structure. The project also includes ancillary work shown in the plans and specifications, including utility connections, accessible features, and relocation or protection of existing site elements. Bidders must hold the appropriate North Carolina contractor license and demonstrate acceptable experience on at least two similar projects completed within the last ten years. A bid security equal to 5% of the base bid is required, and 100% payment and performance bonds will be required. The contract provides for substantial completion within 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and final completion within 210 calendar days after commencement of the contract time. Bids must include the itemized bid form, execution of bid certifications, and bid bond if required.
