Description
The City of Hickory, through its Public Utilities Department, is seeking Statements of Qualifications from professional engineering firms and consultant teams for a sewer pump station replacement project. Two existing pump stations are nearing the end of their useful life and may be replaced with one pump station. The existing infrastructure includes two 60-horsepower pumps and an average daily flow of 60,000 gallons. Potential assignments include field investigations, surveying, utility locating, subsurface utility engineering, easement and property-acquisition support, geotechnical and environmental services, gravity sewer and force-main design, pump station and manhole design, feasibility and engineering reports, cost opinions, drawings, specifications, bid packages, permitting, regulatory and funding-agency coordination, bidding assistance, construction administration, resident project representation, construction observation, submittal and pay-application review, change-order evaluation, startup, commissioning, record drawings, and closeout. Firms will be evaluated on qualifications and demonstrated competence; fee information and project-specific design work are prohibited at the qualification stage.
