Centralina Regional Council invites qualified North Carolina-licensed General Contractors to respond to an upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide housing rehabilitation construction services for up to 15 owner-occupied homes in Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville. The work is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Project Funding (CPF) award for the North Mecklenburg Housing Preservation Initiative program. Qualified firms should have experience with occupied residential rehabilitation, aging-in-place and accessibility improvements, lead-safe work, subcontractor management, permitting, inspections, quality control, change orders, closeout, warranties, and federally funded construction documentation. Respondents must hold an active North Carolina general contractor license appropriate to the work and contract value, maintain required insurance, be active in SAM.gov, and not be suspended, debarred, or otherwise excluded from federal contracting. To apply, Respondents must submit completed RFP forms and attachments. Required materials include the Contractor Application, references, technical narrative responses, pricing and capacity information, key personnel and subcontractor qualifications, proof of insurance, and certification forms.
