Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for construction of the Concord Hills Boulevard Extension from Los Presidentes Boulevard to Lomas del Sur Boulevard. The base work includes clearing and grubbing, subgrade preparation, reinforced concrete pavement with curb, sidewalks and ADA ramps, storm sewer lines, steel casings, a box culvert, curb inlets, junction boxes, headwalls, riprap, excavation and embankment, traffic control, street lighting, signage, pavement markings, erosion controls, utility conduit crossings, power-pole relocations, and related site work. The solicitation also includes alternates for a northbound lane addition, a shared-use path, and a full concrete intersection. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials and complete the work within 130 working days. Required submissions include the Request for Bid and specified City forms, together with a certified or cashier’s check or original bid bond for at least 5% of the total bid. Performance and payment bonds are required when applicable contract thresholds are met. Mailed, emailed, telegraphic, and facsimile responses are not accepted; bidders may submit electronically through Cit-E-Bid or by hand delivery.
