REQUEST FOR BIDS The Boise City Housing Authority (BCHA) invites bids from plumbing contractors that have an active Public Works License to replace and repair wastewater pipes at two (2) BCHA housing properties, totaling 160 units. Interested contractors may obtain the "Waste and Water Project Bid Packet" via email from jholley@bcacha.org. The last day to request a bid packet is September 22, 2026 at 4 p.m. Bids with all attachments will be accepted until October 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. by email OR hand delivery to Jennifer Holley, Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities, 1001 S. Description
The Boise City Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bids from qualified plumbing contractors with an active Idaho Public Works License to replace existing cast-iron wastewater and vent stack riser piping serving apartment kitchens at Capitol Plaza and Franklin Plaza, totaling 160 units. Work includes replacing vertical waste and vent piping, connection fittings, and branch piping connections; coordinating construction with the owner; minimizing unit downtime; and providing a planned downtime schedule. The bidder must include labor, materials, tools, equipment, utilities, transportation, applicable taxes, subcontractor information, and a not-to-exceed project ceiling amount. Federal funding requirements apply, including Section 3, Davis-Bacon wage requirements, and a Byrd Anti-Lobbying Certification. A bid security of at least 5% of the total bid amount is required, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds or another approved assurance of completion. The contractor must commence work within 30 days after final acceptance and comply with the contract documents.
