Description
The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority is soliciting proposals for one or both of two service categories at Huntington Place Convention Center: auctioneer and surplus asset disposition services, and scrap material recycling, removal, and purchase services. Auctioneer services may include asset evaluation, lot creation, online, live, or hybrid auction management, bidder registration and communications, marketing, payment processing, buyer services, asset pickup coordination, and detailed post-auction reporting. Scrap services may include purchasing, transporting, processing, recycling, brokering, or reselling ferrous and non-ferrous materials and other recyclable equipment; providing containers, transportation, disassembly, certified weighing, weight tickets, environmental compliance, chain-of-custody documentation, payment, and monthly transaction reports. The Authority may award separate or multiple contracts by service category, or one contract covering both categories. The contract term is three years with one possible two-year renewal option. Proposals must include the required respondent forms, pricing information, compliance affidavit, exceptions listing, insurance documentation, firm profile, technical capabilities, and customer references. Insurance certificates or evidence of insurability are required with the proposal, while full insurance coverage is required after award.
