Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division is soliciting bids for 245 curtain panels and 245 hardware sets for 56-seat coaches, plus 161 curtain panels and 161 hardware sets for 66-seat coaches. The assemblies must operate on the existing curtain-rod systems without vehicle-hardware modifications and include blackout liner fabric, compatible sliding attachments, integrated bottom weights, pleated headers, tiebacks, and mirror-image split-draw panels. Materials must be suitable for passenger-rail interiors and meet specified fire-safety requirements under 49 CFR 238 Appendix B, including required certification and material traceability. The vendor must provide pre-bid fabric, color, liner, and representative curtain-panel samples, packaging by coach configuration, delivery, warranty coverage, installation and maintenance guidance, and quality-control documentation. The bid package includes a vendor response, pricing form, customer reference form, worker-location form, financial-condition certification, and an optional EO50 price-matching form. Electronic submission through the electronic Vendor Portal is required, and attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site visit is required.
