Description
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation, seeks a contractor to furnish and install custom premium window shades at the Larson Building. The required work covers the first, second, and third floors and includes 277 shades manufactured by Skandia Window Fashions: Kleenscreen 3% openness basketweave fabric in Alloy (Color 2354R), with deluxe inside-mount roller-shade systems, matching 4-inch fascia, and continuous stainless-steel bead-chain operation. Substitutions or equivalents are not permitted. The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, labor, installation supplies, permits, and licenses; remove and dispose of five existing vertical blinds and hardware; repair minor windowsill cracks, defects, and holes; protect surrounding areas; and clean up and dispose of debris. An optional sixth-floor scope includes 52 additional shades and removal of 19 existing blinds. The contract is a fixed-price, one-year purchase order, with required work to be completed before February 1, 2027. Responses are evaluated on the lowest responsive bid, and attendance at the mandatory pre-response conference is required.
