Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a single firm-fixed-price quotation for construction of a new headhouse, construction of a new 38,701-square-foot greenhouse, repair and phased renovation of an existing 34,645-square-foot fire-damaged greenhouse, and associated demolition, earthwork, concrete, utilities, drainage, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, irrigation, environmental controls, growing benches, doors, and site work at Lucky Peak Nursery. The optional work includes construction of a 3,131-square-foot warehouse. Contractors must price all items to be considered responsive, while unawarded options may be exercised within 60 days after the base award. The contractor must provide contractor-designed and stamped electrical and greenhouse-system engineering, a dedicated on-site Quality Control System Manager, a schedule of values, an estimated project schedule, and an Experience Questionnaire with reachable references for work completed within the past three years. The existing greenhouse must remain operational in phases during renovation, with heat, lighting, irrigation, ventilation, and environmental controls maintained for occupied areas. The scope also includes removal and disposal of approximately 345 square feet of asbestos-containing transite panels from the old greenhouse, including independent air monitoring and qualified asbestos-abatement personnel. The greenhouse control system is specified as an Argus Axia system, and the greenhouse basis of design is Cravo equipment.
