Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires two brand-name-or-equal Satisloh VFT-orbit-2i lens production generator machines, including the conveyor system, collet chuck, second fast-tool option, performance packages, and peripherals. The equipment must support milling, turning, cribbing, and engraving of organic ophthalmic lenses; process up to 120 lenses per hour; integrate with the existing conveyor system and laboratory management software; and meet specified dimensional, electrical, spindle-speed, automation, diagnostics, and surface-quality requirements. The contractor must deliver and install the equipment, provide all tools and test equipment needed for setup and calibration, remove and return the existing equipment to Satisloh, provide employee training, and furnish a standard one-year warranty. Preventative maintenance is required through three one-year option periods after the warranty period, including scheduled service visits, parts, travel, performance check sheets, and maintenance reporting. The vendor must be an OEM-authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller for the proposed equipment and maintenance services.
