Description
Hillsborough County Engineering and Operations Department is soliciting construction services for a new stormwater pump station on a County-owned parcel at 5201 E. Kirby Street in Tampa. The work includes a duplex pump station with pumps, wet well, internal piping, electrical systems, controls, SCADA integration, a motorized sluice gate, a 10-inch force main, drainage structures, storm piping, manholes, inlets, outfalls, access improvements, fencing, erosion and sediment controls, and site restoration. The existing stormwater pump station must remain operational until the new facility is completed, tested, commissioned, and placed into service, after which the existing station and associated infrastructure will be decommissioned and demolished. The estimated total project cost is $1,473,476.90. The solicitation establishes a 10% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal. The contract documents state a 210-day construction period from the written Notice to Proceed, plus 42 days allocated for allowance work.
