Description
The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties is soliciting sealed construction bids for maintenance access platforms around six co-generation engines at its wastewater treatment plant. The work includes two pilot platforms followed by four additional platforms, access ladders, handrails, grating, supports, associated demolition and repairs, and all labor, materials, equipment, shop drawings, coordination, and related work required by the Contract Documents. The bid requires a completed Bidder's Proposal and specified bid-time documents, including bid security, a consent of surety, ownership disclosure, bidder experience and equipment certifications, a non-collusion affidavit, authorization documentation, subcontractor information, and other checklist items. The project has a 400-calendar-day completion period, requires a 10% bid security capped at $20,000, and requires performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds at 100% of the contract price. The work is subject to prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, Buy America, disadvantaged-business-enterprise, insurance, and other public-works requirements.
