Description
The Union County Board of County Commissioners is offering 2027 HEART Grants to eligible Union County-based nonprofit organizations, units of local government, libraries, individual artists, and scholars. Grants support specific public programs and projects in history, education, arts, and humanities, including performances, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, arts- or history-in-education projects, cultural-diversity programs, ADA assistive services, and programs for underserved populations. Projects must occur in Union County and directly benefit its residents. Individuals may request up to $1,000, while organizations may request up to $2,200. Requests of $1,001 to $2,200 by organizations require at least a 25% cash match. Applicants must submit an online application through the OCHA grant portal; hard copies are not accepted. Required materials include the project budget, applicable narrative and supporting information, resumes for artists, speakers, or other professionals, an IRS determination letter for eligible tax-exempt organizations, and the prior year's annual budget summary for organizations. The grant period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with final reports due no later than November 16, 2027.
