Description
Tompkins County is soliciting a single-prime general contractor for exterior upgrades at the Tompkins County Public Library. The scope includes roof replacement and associated asbestos abatement, EIFS and DEFS restoration, exterior steel and masonry repairs, canopies and awnings, doors and frames, wall and soffit panels, gutters and downspouts, concrete sidewalks and ramps, asphalt paving, curbs, storm drainage, landscaping, site furnishings, signage, and related demolition and restoration. The project also includes an alternate for a brick planter with a precast concrete cap and an alternate for removal of existing rooftop solar panels. The solicitation was corrected by Addendum No. 1 from an RFP to an IFB. The work will be performed under a single-prime contract. Bidders must submit the required bid form and attachments, five-percent bid security, proof of New York State public-work contractor registration, insurance documentation, and other required certifications. The solicitation permits electronic or physical bid submission and uses lump-sum pricing.
