Description
This presolicitation concerns rehabilitation of the Canonsburg-Houston Local Protection Project along Chartiers Creek. The contractor will repair and re-armour a damaged right-bank channel reach, including clearing access, excavating and replacing Class 4, Type A non-woven geotextile fabric, furnishing and placing PennDOT R-5 riprap, and restoring the channel embankment. The work also includes engineering, installing, operating, maintaining, and removing temporary water-diversion and dewatering systems; sediment and debris controls; excavation and off-site disposal of damaged materials; and replacement of stockpiled streambed material. The contractor must provide management, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, environmental controls, and qualified on-site superintendent, quality-control, and safety personnel. Work must comply with USACE safety requirements, including an approved Accident Prevention Plan and Activity Hazard Analyses. The anticipated construction cost is $150,000 to $300,000, with a 120-calendar-day performance period after written Notice to Proceed. The resulting award is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price purchase order.
