Description
The Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) is soliciting proposals for biosolids management services. The selected provider will be responsible for the removal, transportation, beneficial use (such as land application, land reclamation, tree trenching, composting, or further processing), and disposal of biosolids and unlimed solids generated at ALCOSAN's wastewater treatment plant. The contract is for a three-year term with potential extensions. Proposers must submit a Beneficial Use Target and provide pricing for up to four beneficial use options, as well as landfill disposal services. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and plant tour is scheduled for June 30, 2026. Proposals are due August 25, 2026.
