Description
The City of Pittsburgh, through its Office of Management and Budget on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation, is soliciting bids for a comprehensive range of swimming pool chemicals and supplies. The Aquatic division orders supplies in bulk for 19 different swimming pool facilities. The solicitation includes items such as pool chemicals (cyanuric acid, bromine tablets, calcium hypochlorite, trichlor tablets, sodium thiosulfate), water testing reagents, safety equipment (whistle lanyards, CPR masks, AEDs and accessories, ring buoys), cleaning equipment (pool brushes, leaf rakes, skimmers, robotic pool vacuums), and other supplies (kickboards, pull buoys, umbrella stands, marine batteries, threaded eye bolts). The contract is for an initial 2-year term with two optional 1-year renewals. Freight and shipping costs must be included in the bid prices, and the City is tax exempt.
