Description
The City of Sedalia is seeking bids for a one-year contract for the disposal of municipal solid waste. This contract may be extended for up to three additional one-year periods, subject to approval and mutual agreement. The scope of work includes accepting municipal solid waste, such as household refuse and loose refuse containers, in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The selected facility must provide adequate access for garbage trucks with an improved driving surface. Bidders must provide normal hours of operation, delivery restrictions, scale procedures, policies regarding rejected loads, minimum tonnage/load charges, proof of current landfill permits and licenses, and contact information for a designated account representative. Disposal rates may be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), not to exceed 4%, with 90 days' written notice. Any additional governmentally imposed fees, taxes, or surcharges may be passed through with 90 days' written notice and supporting documentation.
