Description
The City of Jennings is soliciting proposals for comprehensive solid waste disposal services. This includes the collection, processing, hauling, and disposal of residential household waste, commercial waste, recovered materials, and yard by-products. The contract is anticipated to begin on August 1st, 2026, and continue for an initial term of three years, concluding on July 31st, 2029. The City also reserves the option to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods. Bid specifications can be obtained from Jennings City Hall, located at 2120 Hord Avenue, Jennings, MO 63136, or downloaded from the City's website (www.cityofjennings.org) starting June 11th, 2026, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST. Bidders must submit one original and twelve (12) photocopies of their sealed proposals to the City Hall address no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on July 7th, 2026. Proposals will be publicly read aloud in the Council Room at City Hall on the same day. Proposals sent by mail must clearly identify the contractor on the sealed envelope and be addressed to the City. Facsimile transmissions will not be accepted.
