Description
Oakland County, through its Water Resources Commissioner's office, is soliciting proposals for as-needed generator installation and related services at wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, water treatment facilities, and other agency-owned or maintained properties. The scope includes furnishing labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, permits, subcontractors, and incidental services for generator installations and replacements, typically involving generators from approximately 25 kW to 500 kW. Required work may include automatic and manual transfer switches, generator controls, fuel systems, electrical distribution, utility coordination, concrete and structural modifications, startup and commissioning, load and transfer testing, maintenance, equipment removal, restoration, training, and closeout documentation. Contractors must demonstrate at least 10 years of comparable generator-installation experience for municipal water and sewer systems, provide 24/7 emergency response capability, and submit rates for labor, emergency work, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and related services. The initial contract term may be one to three years, with renewal options for a total term of up to five years; no minimum quantity or dollar amount of work is guaranteed.
