Description
Volusia County is soliciting one or more qualified and licensed electrical contractors to provide as-needed electrical services under individual work authorizations. The scope includes troubleshooting and diagnostics; component, panelboard, breaker, conduit, wiring, generator, transfer-switch, lighting, and electrical-service repairs or installations; LED retrofits; preventive maintenance; inspections and testing; renovation support; and emergency response. Contractors must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, tools, testing equipment, materials, replacement parts, permits when applicable, transportation, and incidentals. Services may be performed at occupied County-owned and leased facilities, including offices, courthouses, public safety and correctional facilities, fire and emergency services facilities, libraries, airports, parks, community centers, maintenance facilities, and other County properties. Respondents must hold a Florida Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) or Florida Registered Electrical Contractor (ER) license, provide required equipment and license documentation, maintain 24/7 emergency availability, meet response times of two hours for critical emergencies, eight business hours for urgent service, and 48 hours for routine service, and provide a one-year workmanship warranty. The initial agreement term is three years, with two optional one-year renewals.
