Description
The Great Lakes Water Authority is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of the Ashland Relief, Linwood, Second Avenue, associated Highland Park Laterals, and Shiawassee combined sewers. The scope includes in-sewer spot repairs, debris removal, chemical grouting, manhole frame and cover replacements, manhole rehabilitation, three new Linwood manholes, CIPP lining and lateral connection work, VR-17 hatch replacement, easement clearing, gate installation, traffic control, flow control, and related restoration and coordination. The solicitation requires a minimum of three successful comparable projects completed within the last five years. Bidders must submit a minimum qualifications statement, vendor certifications, a 5% bid bond, a proposed subcontractor list, access-request materials, and the required federal-funding certifications or good-faith-efforts documentation applicable to the eventual SRF funding classification. The work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, and performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required after award. The anticipated schedule is 26 months to substantial completion and 29 months to final completion from the Notice to Proceed, with milestone work due at 300 and 426 days from the Notice to Proceed.
