Description
Lake County is soliciting a contractor to furnish all services, labor, materials, and equipment for construction improvements along CR 565/Villa City Road from north of State Road 50 to south of US 27. The approximately 7.209-mile project includes roadway resurfacing, 8-foot shoulders with a minimum 4-foot paved width, ground-in rumble strips, pavement markings, flashing beacons and other curve safety improvements, guardrails at the Palatlakaha River Bridge and Lake Arthur Road, and applicable drainage modifications. Pedestrian facilities must comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act standards, and the contractor will be responsible for utility coordination during construction. The solicitation includes a base bid and three bid segments: the base bid covers Lake Emma Road to Lake Arthur Road, Alternate 1 covers Lake Arthur Road to US 27, and Alternate 2 covers James Place to Lake Emma Road. A bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond or letter of credit equal to 5% of the base bid is required; cash and personal or company checks are not accepted. Responses must be submitted through the county's solicitation response portal, and hand-delivered submissions will not be accepted.
