Description
Orange County is soliciting professional traffic engineering and design services for an intelligent transportation system upgrade along John Young Parkway between Hunter's Creek Boulevard and SR 482/Sand Lake Road. The project will update software and hardware at 19 signalized intersections and is intended to improve travel times, reduce congestion, pedestrian crossing conditions, monitoring, and traffic control. The scope includes surveys; traffic signal and ITS design; construction plans, specifications, and engineer's cost estimates; maintenance-of-traffic design; utility coordination; right-of-way certification; permitting and environmental documentation; quality control; and post-design services. Planned deliverables include phased 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% plans, environmental and permitting documents, cost estimates, utility schedules, construction-duration calculations, certifications, final signed and sealed plans, and final bid documents. Final deliverables must be provided in PDF and applicable AutoCAD, Word, and Excel formats. The services must be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed.
