Description
The Florida Department of Transportation's Florida's Turnpike Enterprise is soliciting bids to establish one or more non-exclusive contracts for long-term protected gopher tortoise conservation recipient-site services. The selected vendor must maintain a valid Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission permit, accept gopher tortoises from the State Road 91 widening project in Lake County, receive tortoises within 48 hours of notice, provide reservation letters, and permanently mark the tortoises in accordance with applicable permitting guidelines. The estimated requirement is 60 adult/subadult tortoises and 15 juvenile tortoises, with bidders submitting availability and unit rates for each category. The initial contract term is three years beginning upon execution of the first task work order, with renewals of up to three additional years. Bids must include the Bid Blank and Forms 1 through 6; Form 7 is required only after award. Responses must be submitted by email as PDF files, with the specified subject line and file-naming requirements.
