Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is soliciting a price quote for labor, equipment, materials, permits, travel, and incidentals required to lower an existing radio antenna and install or relocate guy wires at the Mojave Special Crews Maintenance Station. The contractor must also relocate one above-ground fuel tank from Mojave to the Bridgeport Maintenance Station, remove and legally dispose of three existing tanks, demolish and restore the Mojave tank site, reconnect the fueling system, and perform required testing and cleanup. The work is a public works contract requiring a California Class A General Engineering Contractor or Class B General Building Contractor license, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and certified Small Business, Micro Business, Small Business for Public Works, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise status. The prime contractor may subcontract specialty work only to appropriately licensed and similarly certified businesses. The quote must not exceed $484,000.00. Prevailing-wage requirements apply when the total bid exceeds $15,000. The agreement is estimated to run from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, subject to approval and notice to proceed.
