Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting one new one-ton cab-and-chassis truck with a steel service body for sewer operations. The vehicle must meet detailed chassis, drivetrain, towing, safety, electrical, lighting, interior, service-body, liftgate, and related equipment requirements, including a 19,000-pound GVWR crew-cab chassis, four-wheel drive, an 11-foot galvanized steel service body, specified warning and work lighting, a 3,000-watt inverter, air compressor, vise, and 1,300-pound liftgate. The successful Iowa-licensed vehicle dealer must provide the vehicle and upfitting, submit completed vehicle specifications, manufacturer descriptive literature, and an engineered drawing, and perform pre-delivery inspection, cleaning, delivery by appointment, final inspection, title transfer, and delivery of warranty and equipment documentation. The vehicle must be new and comply with applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards and Iowa safety regulations; used, refurbished, demonstrator, and remanufactured vehicles are not accepted.
