Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting unit-price bids to rehabilitate 20 existing sanitary sewer manholes using a multi-layer polyurea and closed-cell foam lining system. The work includes surface preparation, repairs, application of adhesion, surfacer, and armor layers, inspection, and a minimum 500-mil final liner. Temporary traffic control, mobilization, bypass pumping if needed, and railroad right-of-entry agreements and insurance for work in the CRANDIC right-of-way are also included. The estimated project cost is $86,000. Work may begin upon receipt of the notice to proceed, must begin no later than April 19, 2027, and must be completed within 30 working days. The solicitation requires documented applicator experience, five municipal sanitary sewer project references completed within the past three years, performance and payment bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract price, and railroad protective liability insurance. Bids are submitted electronically through IonWave, with unit prices entered online and the Bidder Status Form uploaded as a PDF.
