Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting bids for one new 2027 3/4-ton cargo van for its Water Meter Division. The vehicle must have two-passenger seating, no side windows, an extended-length cargo configuration, a minimum 8,600-pound GVWR, and specified drivetrain, safety, interior, body, lighting, warning, electrical, and storage features. Required equipment includes amber strobes, Whelen warning lights, a spotlight, backup beeper and camera, a driver-side step, a laptop mount, an electrical circuit isolator, upfitter switches, and related wiring and corrosion-protection work. The bidder must be a licensed Iowa vehicle dealer and provide a completed specification checklist, manufacturer's descriptive literature, bid responses through the electronic procurement portal, warranty information, delivery lead time, pricing, and any exceptions or deviations. The vehicle must be delivered FOB destination, inspected and accepted by the City, and accompanied by warranty documentation, manuals, keys, and title-related documents. The solicitation also requires workers' compensation, general liability, and automobile liability insurance, although no coverage limits are stated. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's Euna Procurement portal; email, fax, and hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
