Description
The City of Tampa is seeking a qualified, licensed clinical psychologist to provide professional psychological screening and consultation services for applicants and personnel associated with the Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Rescue. The scope includes written psychological testing and in-person interviews for approximately 110 new police and firefighter hires annually, although the City makes no guarantee of the amount of work. Services also include special-unit screenings, fitness-for-duty and return-to-duty evaluations, personnel-assignment evaluations, written suitability recommendations, quality-control review, and independent re-evaluations. Additional services include consultation and technical assistance for police and fire personnel, training and evaluation programs, employee and family workshops, emergency counseling, hostage-negotiation consultation, and related deposition and hearing support. The contractor must securely handle psychological records, comply with applicable licensing, HIPAA, ADA, EEO, and professional-ethics requirements, and maintain facilities capable of conducting in-person screenings. The contract is for one year with four additional one-year renewal periods, and proposals must include pricing for the specified examinations, consultations, counseling, workshops, evaluations, depositions, and hearings.
