Description
The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood is accepting competitive applications from eligible early care and education programs seeking new or additional Early Start CT state-funded spaces. The funding supports infant/toddler, preschool, and school-age spaces for eligible families, with minimum application requests for certain new applicants and maximum space limits by age category. Eligible applicants may include licensed, licensed-exempt, family child care, center, group home, and public-school programs, subject to the stated eligibility and utilization requirements. The initiative will support expansion for fiscal years 2027 and 2028, with additional spaces effective January 1, 2027, through an 18-month period ending June 30, 2028. At least $13 million per year is available. Applications are submitted through the Office of Early Childhood application process; questions and technical issues must be directed by email to OEC.RFA.ESCT@ct.gov.
