Description
Douglas County Community Services / Parks & Recreation is soliciting proposals from qualified independent contractors to operate the Kahle Community Center Preschool Program in Stateline, Nevada. The contractor will independently coordinate daily operations, develop curriculum and lesson plans, recruit, train, supervise, and schedule staff, order supplies, maintain facilities, promote the program, and comply with Nevada childcare licensing requirements and County policies. The program serves preschool-aged children during the traditional school year, with possible summer programs, and includes creative arts, language, mathematics, health and safety, science, movement, music, drama, cooking, games, storytelling, and potential field trips. The contractor must provide necessary equipment, supplies, craft materials, snacks, and other operating materials; personally supervise the program; maintain required licensing; provide liability insurance of $2,000,000 naming Douglas County as an additional insured; and obtain workers' compensation coverage where required. Proposals must address qualifications, program approach, marketing, summer offerings, senior-citizen involvement, profitability, Nevada childcare experience, references, proposed compensation as a percentage of gross receipts, and any requested contract or program changes.
