THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT HARTFORD COUNTY, CONNECTICUT INVITATION TO BID FURNISH AND DELIVER TOPSOIL, CRUSHED STONE, AND ROAD SALT Issued: September 23, 2026 DUE DATES QUESTIONS DUE: September 30, 2026 by 4:00 PM BIDS DUE: October 9, 2026 by 12:00 PM THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT is soliciting formal bids from qualified contractors to Furnish and Deliver Topsoil, Crushed Stone, and Road Salt. Description
The Metropolitan District is soliciting formal bids from qualified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) companies, including businesses certified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as SBEs or by the Connecticut Department of Transportation as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) that maintain their primary office or location in Connecticut. The selected contractor will furnish and deliver topsoil, crushed stone, and road salt in accordance with the solicitation specifications. The schedule of prices covers an initial two years of service. The opportunity is identified as ITB 2026B-43 and requires sealed bids.
