Description
The City of Tampa is soliciting sealed physical bids for construction of up to five aquifer recharge wells and five associated monitoring wells at the Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. Phase I includes one recharge well and one monitoring well; Phase II may add four recharge wells and four monitoring wells if Phase I confirms suitable aquifer conditions. The work includes drilling, casing, grouting, geophysical logging, coring, packer testing, well development, pumping and injection testing, water sampling and analysis, temporary wellheads, site restoration, and related appurtenant work. An alternate includes acidization of the recharge wells. The estimated project value is $32,000,000. The bid must include five-percent bid security, and the successful contractor must furnish payment and performance bonds equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The solicitation requires the Proposal, Attestation of Compliance, DMI-10, DMI-20, and DMI-50 forms, supporting good-faith-effort documentation, evidence of required licensing or registration, and bid security. Phase I has a 300-calendar-day completion period, and Phase II has a 1,065-calendar-day completion period, for a total of 1,365 calendar days, with Phase II subject to authorization. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employer's liability, and excess liability based on contract value.
