Description
The City of Hamilton is soliciting construction bids for Build Back the Block Sanitary and Water Service Installation Phase III. The work includes installation of 32 sanitary sewer laterals with cleanouts and future connection stubs, 33 water services, and 9 lead water service disconnections. The contractor must furnish all required labor, materials, equipment, permits, excavation, utility coordination, testing, backfill, pavement and surface restoration, and related services. The project includes traffic control and public-safety measures, maintenance of continuous sewer flows or bypass pumping when necessary, water-main testing, flushing, sterilization and disinfection, and compliance with Ohio Department of Transportation specifications and prevailing-wage requirements. The contract documents state substantial completion is 45 days after the Notice to Proceed and final completion is 60 days after the Notice to Proceed. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bid Express, and a bid guaranty is required in the form of a full-amount bid guaranty and contract bond or an acceptable 10% certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit.
