Description
Fairfield City Schools is soliciting proposals for the replacement of all UPS devices in its network infrastructure. The district requires APC Smart-UPS units, specifically models SMTL1000RM2UCNC (1000VA) and SMTL3000RM2UCNC (3000VA), both lithium-ion, rack/tower form factor, with network management interfaces. The quantities vary by location, totaling 30 units of the 1000VA model and 9 units of the 3000VA model. Installation services are also requested, to be performed outside school instructional hours. The district intends to purchase through existing contracts under ALJP, contingent on USAC funding, and only vendors with existing contracts for UPS equipment need respond. Evaluation criteria include price of equipment (40%), price of installation services (20%), quality of product (20%), availability/cost of replacement batteries (15%), and local or in-state vendor preference (5%).
