Description
The City of Fairfield is soliciting bids for PVC lining of existing corrugated metal storm sewers at various streets throughout Fairfield. The work includes light cleaning, pre- and post-installation closed-circuit television inspections, bypass pumping, PVC liner installation, service-connection reinstatement, traffic control, and all associated labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidental work. The bid schedule identifies storm sewer segments ranging from 12 to 27 inches in diameter, with an engineer's estimate of $175,000; final payment will be based on actual quantities installed. Bidders must submit section-by-section liner designs with assumptions, calculations, and design output; joint manufacturer-and-contractor material certification; at least five similar project references completed within the past three years; service-life documentation; a resin-impregnation narrative; a list of subcontractors; and the required bid forms and bid security. The work must comply with ASTM, NASSCO, Ohio Department of Transportation, City of Fairfield, prevailing-wage, insurance, and bonding requirements. The contract period is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated in December 2026, and the contractor must self-perform at least 50% of the work.
