Description
The City of Hamilton's Department of Infrastructure is soliciting a contractor to provide labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and expertise for circuit-type tree pruning and removal throughout Hamilton. The work includes clearing trees and brush around electric distribution, transmission, communication, signal, and fiber-optic conductors; pruning to specified clearances; removing and disposing of trees, limbs, brush, chips, and logs; protecting the public and property; and restoring damage caused by the contractor. Work must comply with applicable ANSI tree-care and safety standards, and crews must have qualified tree-trimming personnel and specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, chippers, saws, and vehicles. The contract is structured around hourly labor and equipment rates for multiple crew configurations and supervision. The estimated contract value is $2,376,845, although the City does not guarantee that amount of work. The initial term runs from the award date through December 31, 2027, with renewal options for additional one-year periods. Emergency storm-response support may be required, including providing labor and equipment within 60 minutes of a City callout. Bidders must submit the specified bid forms, a 10% bid security, and comply with insurance, bonding, licensing, safety, and subcontracting requirements.
