The City of Alcoa is seeking a contractor to remove existing Hardie board siding and install hat channel strips fastened to metal studs, 3/4-inch semi-permeable polystyrene foam insulation board, and approximately 9,400 square feet of metal board-and-batten siding. The work also includes caulking and sealing as required. The contractor must replace eight exterior windows with comparable replacement windows and frame beneath the existing sills to raise the window bottoms above the brick ledge. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at the water treatment plant; attendance is mandatory for bidders who did not attend the first pre-bid meeting.
