The University of Tennessee is soliciting qualifications from licensed Tennessee general contractors for construction of a new approximately 30-by-50-foot, single-story pre-engineered metal storage building between the University of Tennessee Knoxville's softball and soccer stadiums. The building will house field-maintenance equipment and small machinery and will include an overhead coiling door, shallow foundations, slab-on-grade construction, metal exterior cladding, and future brick and stone veneer areas. The scope includes site preparation and undercutting of undocumented fill; structural, mechanical, electrical, ventilation, lighting, heating, grounding, and utility-service work; and coordination with Knoxville Utility Board. Proposers must submit a searchable PDF technical proposal of no more than 25 pages, excluding covers, with no pricing information. The estimated bid target is $350,000. Short-listed proposers will later be invited to submit construction bids through the Best Value Option One process.
