Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to remove one layer of existing metal roofing and install new metal roof panels, self-adhering rubberized asphalt underlayment, ridge vents, vent caps, flashing, trim, vented aluminum soffit, fascia, and replacement 5/8-inch CDX plywood sheathing where damaged. The work covers 10 housing units: three bunkhouses, three duplexes, and four single-family homes at the Island Park Administrative Site. One dwelling requires full replacement of skip sheathing, while other units require replacement of damaged sheathing as directed. The quotation must include pricing for every line item in the Schedule of Items, a completed and signed SF-1442, a technical proposal addressing the work approach, subcontracting, sequencing, resources, personnel, and equipment, past performance for three similar projects completed within the last three years, and a fully executed bid guarantee when applicable. The project has an estimated magnitude between $500,000 and $1,000,000, requires completion within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed, and includes federal construction-material, wage, waste-management, insurance, and site-safety requirements.
