Description
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, through the Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Service Office, is soliciting quotes for a complete roof replacement at the Long Acre IRA. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, disposal, site cleanup, and protection of the occupied residence. Work includes removal of the existing asphalt shingle system to the wood decking; installation of new asphalt shingles, underlayment, ice and water barriers, ridge vents, flashings, drip edges, exhaust vent covers, gutters, fascia boards, soffits, aluminum trim, and related roofing accessories; repair or replacement of damaged decking and rafter tails as required; and construction of a cricket at the southeast corner valley. The work must comply with the architectural drawings, applicable building codes, OSHA guidelines, prevailing-wage requirements, and the specified manufacturer and industry standards. A mandatory site visit is required before submitting a quote, and the contractor must sign in and remain for the entire visit. The project must be completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order. The residence will remain occupied, and the contractor must secure tools, materials, equipment, and debris at the end of each workday. A one-year workmanship guarantee is required, while the specifications also identify manufacturer warranties for the roofing materials. Article 8 contractor registration with the New York State Department of Labor and submission of the registration certificate are required with the bid.
