Parks Canada Agency is seeking supply and installation services for replacement roofing systems at five staff houses in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The work includes demolition and disposal of existing asphalt roofs; installation of 30-year charcoal architectural asphalt shingles, underlayment, ice-and-water shield, drip edges, vent boots, chimney flashing, and related hardware; and replacement of damaged roof decking or fascia boards when authorized. The contractor must also install approximately 1,200 square feet of Mitten D4H Sandcastle vinyl siding, white aluminum fascia, white vinyl soffits, and specified seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts at designated houses. The contractor is responsible for labor, materials, debris removal, site protection, travel, meals, environmental protection, and a site-specific health and safety plan. Bids must follow a two-submission procedure: an Indigenous Participation Plan and associated documents as Submission 1, and the Bid and Acceptance Form as Submission 2. The Indigenous Participation Plan is evaluated as 5% of the total score, with price weighted at 95%. The work must be completed by March 31, 2027, and the contract includes a one-year materials and workmanship guarantee from final inspection.
