Description
The City of Oak Ridge is seeking a qualified professional engineering consultant to obtain vehicle movement counts and conduct an intersection study to determine whether adding a protected left-turn phase to the existing traffic signal at Union Valley Road and South Illinois Avenue (Tennessee State Route 62) is warranted. If the additional phase is justified, the City may also seek design services to upgrade the existing traffic signal. The solicitation requests qualifications addressing the firm's and personnel's experience, capabilities, availability, relevant work examples, client references, conflicts of interest, insurance capability, and understanding of the City's needs. The contract is anticipated to continue through December 2028, although it may end earlier if the recommendation is not to add signal phasing.
