Description
This solicitation seeks technical services to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and operational testing on one RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant (LPAP) Compressor #8. The work will be conducted onboard a Ford Class vessel during the FY26 Periodic Incremental Availability (PIA) at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). The specific issue identified is a water pressure failure within LPAP #8, which has not been resolved by previous troubleshooting efforts by the ship's force. The contractor, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and technical expert for this equipment, will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing the fault, conducting a full load operational test upon completion, and providing any necessary replacement parts. The period of performance is estimated from August 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Personnel performing this work will require a Confidential security clearance and must obtain access through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
