Description
The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting lease proposals for approximately 2,000 usable square feet of retail space in Chesapeake, VA. The space must be located within the delineated area bounded by Western Branch North to the north, Alexander Corner to the east, Western Branch South to the south, and HWY664 to the west. The lease will be for a fully-serviced, turnkey term of up to five years with termination rights. Key requirements include 24-hour unrestricted access, availability of communications infrastructure (DSL, T1, satellite dish), direct access to an exterior exit, and 24-hour lighted parking for government and privately owned vehicles. The lease will cover all lessor costs, including operating costs, real estate taxes, and insurance. Offerors must also comply with various federal requirements related to environmental considerations, historic preservation, fire protection, life safety, and accessibility. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM EST on June 25, 2026.
