Description
Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing services for the manufacturing, delivery, and installation of heat shielding on their ITS car bottom furnace. The heat shielding is required to protect parts from excessive heat when the furnace doors are opened. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, tooling, and supervision for the heat shielding components. These components include a door mast heat shield, lift seal cylinder heat shield, and cart drive heat shield. The heat shielding shall be constructed from insulated stainless steel and meet specific protection requirements for various furnace components. Contractors will be responsible for shipping equipment and performing installation services, including mechanical re-assembly, field painting, and electrical field wiring. NNSY will be responsible for unloading equipment, clearing pathways, and providing site cleaning before equipment arrival.
