Description
This solicitation seeks technical services for troubleshooting, repair, and operational testing of a RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant (LPAP) Compressor #6. The work will be performed onboard a naval vessel at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) during FY26 Periodic Incremental Availability (PIA). The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is requested to provide expert support, as previous troubleshooting efforts by Ship's Force and ISEA have not identified the cause of an injection water pressure failure. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary tools, test equipment, consumables, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They must also provide the required personnel to complete the overhaul and repair, ensuring all work is finished at least one month prior to the project milestone 'All Propulsion Work Completed in the Plants (PW42)'. Contractors must obtain access through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) and will require a Confidential security clearance (Red Badge). All work must adhere to federal and state OSHA requirements, including hazardous energy control procedures. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining Level II cleanliness and will attend necessary meetings with NNSY representatives, providing weekly email updates.
