Description

Lincoln Electric System is soliciting bids for a single general-construction contract covering the installation of two new GE Vernova LM6000PC dual-fuel simple-cycle combustion turbine generator packages, Units 5 and 6, and associated balance-of-plant equipment. The scope includes demolition and tie-ins; civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls work; foundations and auxiliary building construction; installation of turbine, exhaust, emissions-control, transformer, switchgear, piping, fire protection, communications, and monitoring systems; testing, commissioning, startup support, training, and turnover documentation. The contractor must furnish all required labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and services, including specified contractor-furnished equipment and mandatory option pricing for heavy-haul equipment storage/rigging and temporary Unit 4 transformer connections. Bidders must submit a completed construction bid form and signature page, preliminary project schedule, quality and safety plans, technical bid data forms and materials data sheets, field-service rates, at least two qualifying power-generation or heavy-industrial project references with client contacts, proposed major subcontractor and supplier information, and addenda acknowledgments. The successful bidder must execute the LES construction contract, provide insurance naming LES as an additional insured with waiver of subrogation, furnish separate performance and labor-and-material payment bonds each at least equal to the contract price, and complete the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Form.
